Re-numbering Incidents
 

The end of the year is approaching and everyone has some housekeeping to take care of.  Over the next few weeks, the Tip of the Week will relate to end of the year/beginning of the year activities.  If you have any suggestions, please feel free to reply to this email.  The first end of the year tip is exporting your incident reports.  The second end of the year tip is how to reset your incident number on your incident reports.


Re-numbering Incidents
 

1. Open Incident Reporting.

 

2. From the Incident Reporting Menu, click Incident Records

 

3. Click Insert from the Incident Browse Table.

 

4. A new incident report will open.

 

5. In the Incident # field, enter your new numbering format such as 2008001

 

6. Complete the report with your first call information of the year.

 

7. Then click OK to save the report.

 

8. The next time you open an incident it will have the next number in line in your numbering sequence (2008002).
